Transavia B737-800 Diverts to Barcelona, Possible Smoke Problem
A Transavia flight en route to Nantes from Oran, Algeria diverted to Barcelona after reporting a possible smoke problem in the cabin on 8 September 2025.
Transavia flight TO7305, operated by a Boeing 737-800, had conducted a departure from Oran Ahmed Ben Bella Airport (ORN).
The aircraft was conducting a scheduled service bound for Nantes Atlantique Airport (NTE).

The flight was at cruising altitude approaching the south of France when flight crew reported a possible smoke problem in the cabin.
As a result a precautionary diversion was carried out to nearby Barcelona El Prat Airport (BCE).
The aircraft landed without further incident on runway 02 Barcelona El Prat Airport approximately 30 minutes after the diversion was initiated.
According to The Aviation Herald, passengers reported that the departure from Oran had been delayed due to technical problems.
The aircraft was grounded in Barcelona for approximately 17 hours. After maintenance it was able to continue the ongoing service to Nantes Atlantique Airport.
