New Diablo 4 Endgame slammed as awful Solo experience

Blizzard is introducing a host of new content to Diablo 4 with the new Vessel of Hatred expansion. However, some players are upset at the expansion’s focus on co-op content, leaving solo players behind.
Diablo 4 Endgame vs Solo Players
In the new Vessel of Hatred expansion, players will be introduced to a new endgame experience. Dubbed the Dark Citadel, this new Diablo 4 endgame focuses on new co-op PvE gauntlets for multiple players to run through.
While many are excited at the introduction of new co-op content, others are upset. While Diablo has focused on co-op play more and more over the past few years, the series has always been rooted in a satisfying co-op experience.
“Personally I think all content in arpgs should be soloable,” one player said on Reddit. “This is a step in the wrong direction.”
“Better be soloable. If not, no thanks. I play Diablo to solo a game, I better not be forced to play with another,” said another.
“I’m not into this,” another player explained. “The most coordination I want to do with other players is identifying where we’re gonna grind and murder.”
Can Diablo support this?
Alongside players’ upset at the Diablo 4 Endgame moving into co-op play, others are simply worried about the mode’s stability. Without a solid matchmaking service, fans don’t believe Blizzard’s multiplayer endgame will be satisfying.
“I’m fine with content needing a group. But we need a group finder. My friends don’t play [the] same hours as Me. The game needs better social features in general,” one fan said.
“It sounds like a fun idea, but it needs matchmaking and needs to be doable without communication. I really don’t want to feel left out just because I primarily play solo and am too shy to use a mic,” said another.
Nevertheless, other players are excited to have a reason to play Diablo 4 with other players. Even if the Diablo 4 Endgame content is essentially forcing multiplayer, it’s still a good reason to team up with other adventurers.
