Latest Zenless Zone Zero leaks suggest an upcoming character will be…a detective rat lady

If you’ve spent any time playing Zenless Zone Zero over the past few weeks, you’re probably familiar with the game’s very liberal character design. Yes, we are referring to Ellen Joe, everyone’s favorite maid with a shark tail, and her faction mate Lycaon, the wolf butler. Of course, in typical miHoYo fashion, the Genshin and HSR developers are doubling down on their unique character looks after a few recent leaks suggested that an upcoming character will be…a detective rat lady.

No, the alleged new agent will not have the face of a rat and the body of a human. Instead, she’ll only have distinct rat ears that help her stand out from the rest of the ZZZ society. According to a post from Stxrriz, Jane Doe (which may be a placeholder name for the new character) will allegedly be part of the NEPS (New Eridu Public Security) faction. She’ll be joining the rest of the game’s upcoming peacekeepers, including Qingyi, Seth, and Zhu Yuan, so you’ll have an easier time creating the best Zenless Zone Zero team comps.

According to additional details, she’ll reportedly have an Anomaly specialty and a Physical affinity, giving her plenty of flexibility when slotting into different teams. And, much like her real-life mammal counterpart, she moves quickly on the battlefield, dodging with blinding speed and hitting enemies with quick melee strikes.

Of course, like any old leak, you will need to take this information with a heaping handful of salt until miHoYo confirms it. But with Zenless Zone Zero having already been out for a couple of weeks, you may not have to wait long until official details arrive on the game’s next set of characters.
