Helldivers 2 devs confirm hotfix to Dark Fluid mission spawning bug is in the works

Good news, soldiers — Helldivers 2 High Command has announced that a hotfix to the frustrating Dark Fluid mission spawning bug is in the works. Once Arrowhead Game Studios releases the patch, obliterating Meridia and its Terminid colony from existence should be much easier, no matter what difficulty you’re playing on. However, there is one very small drawback: the developers have yet to reveal when they plan to launch this update.
That said, over on the Helldivers 2 Discord server, community manager Baskinator noted that it “will be deployed as soon as possible,” so it should only be a matter of time until it arrives. Now, it’s worth keeping in mind that this hotfix for the Dark Fluid mission bug will be completely separate from the next patch, so you shouldn’t expect any other massive changes in the meantime. Plus, community manager Twinbeard already said that the next update won’t be the “mother of all patches,” so temper your expectations, Helldivers.

Of course, since you’re disturbing Meridia’s core with Dark Fluid drills, Terminid swarms will pop out from never-ending bug breaches to make your mission infinitely harder. The problem is that the amount of bugs that appear makes finishing the operation practically impossible. Luckily, now that AGS has confirmed this is a bug, we can take solace in the fact that our mission failures weren’t due to a skill issue.
